The East Meadow School District celebrated National School Board Recognition Month at their monthly meeting on Oct. 10.
Superintendent of Schools Kenneth Rosner expressed his gratitude for the tireless work of each member of the board on behalf of the entire community.
“I have a deep appreciation for the work that our board of education does on a daily basis,” Mr. Rosner said. “We’re forging a wonderful relationship together that is based on doing things that are best for our children and our community.”
Director of Music and Art Dr. Kelly Nixon and Art Department Chairperson Heather Anastasio then gifted each member with individual desk ornaments. The desk ornaments were crafted by students in Ms. Cecilia Fisher’s creative craft class at East Meadow High School.
“We would like to thank the board of education for their commitment to championing all programs here in our district,” Dr. Nixon said. “These programs play an essential role in shaping well-rounded individuals and preparing them for a diverse and dynamic world.”
The district wishes to thank all of the board members for their dedication to the community.
