On Oct. 23, students, staff members and parents at George McVey Elementary School in East Meadow enjoyed some healthy exercise during the school's annual Wellness Walk.
Throughout the day, students in each grade walked, jogged and ran several laps around the school's field to promote the importance of making healthy and positive decisions. Additionally, McVey’s mascot joined the walkers and helped to promote school spirit. Principal Ms. Kerry Anne Dunne and Assistant Principal Mr. Leonard Minerva cheered on the walkers, and McVey’s band provided music throughout the event.
